Daniel Lavender
MSW, LSW
Licensed Social Worker
Daniel earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA and his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Prior to graduate school, he both studied abroad and worked in Japan to immerse himself in a culture starkly different from his upbringing in the United States. Since then, he has worked in hospitals, at colleges, and in the field to garner diverse experiences that informed his own development, and in turn, his maturation into a clinical therapist.
Daniel has worked with a wide range of clients of mixed ages and with varying presenting concerns. He is adept at working with clients to manage their mood, unpack their trauma, and find their strength. He prides himself on working with clients who identify within the LGBTQ+ community. His practice is informed by several treatment modalities, including CBT and ACT, and he strives to meet his clients where they are and join with them in their journey through therapy.
