Jonathan Day

Dr. Jonathan Day is a Pennsylvania Licensed Psychologist and a Certified School Psychologist. For the past thirty years Dr. Day has worked in the mental health field in a variety of settings, and has prior experience as a teacher and human resource professional. Dr. Day is a graduate of the doctoral program in clinical psychology at Antioch New England University. He has also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The College of Wooster, a Masters of Education Degree from Allegheny College, and a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Edinboro University. His doctoral dissertation topic, An Examination of Multiple Roles Training in Clinical Psychology: A Program Evaluation, explored the diverse roles and professional training in the field of clinical psychology.

Dr. Day currently enjoys working with adults of all ages, young and old, to assist them in their respective personal and professional life goals. In particular, he emphasizes a strength-based, person-centered approach in managing relationships, developing behavioral health and wellness, and coping with life’s challenges. Dr. Day joined the team here at Mind Matters on a part time basis after working in a private practice setting for a number of years. He continues to work with individuals who have difficulties with chronic health issues, and who may experience chronic stress, depression, anxiety, executive functioning and other mental health challenges. Outside of practice Dr. Day has avid interests in outdoor activities and sports, a wide range of topics in reading and music, and with travel and photography. He is married with four adult children and one granddaughter.
