Dr. Rutherford is a Pennsylvania Licensed Psychologist, a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. She has worked with children, adolescents, and families in the school and consultation settings for the past ten years.
Dr. Rutherford earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Tufts University in Clinical Psychology and Child Development. She went on to earn her Master’s degree in Human Development and Doctoral degree in School Psychology from Lehigh University. Her professional experience has been as a school psychologist in public schools, a consultant to families in parent management, and a consultant to school districts, schools, and teachers in a variety of positive behavioral interventions and supports, including school-based mental health services.
Dr. Rutherford specializes in child and adolescent behavior and assessment. She has expertise in psychological, educational, functional behavioral, and diagnostic evaluations. Dr. Rutherford also specializes in working with families to promote and sustain positive changes with their children using a behavioral approach. She has several publications in peer reviewed journals and presents at international, national, and state conferences regularly. Dr. Rutherford is a member of the American Psychological Association, National Association of School Psychologists, Association of Positive Behavior Support, and the Pennsylvania Positive Behavior Support Network.
Dr. Rutherford lives at home with her husband, three spirited children, and two dogs. She enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.
